Care Guide
This Care Guide applies to bags and accessories purchased through angelkissbag.us. Care requirements may vary according to the material, surface finish, and construction of each product.
Please review the product page and any care information provided with the product before cleaning.
1. General Daily Care
To help maintain the appearance and structure of your bag:
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or humid environments.
- Keep the bag away from heavy rain, standing water, and prolonged moisture.
- Avoid contact with alcohol, bleach, perfume, hand sanitizer, cosmetics, oils, and strong cleaning products.
- Do not place the bag on rough, sharp, dirty, or wet surfaces.
- Avoid overfilling the bag or placing excessive weight inside.
- Handle straps, zippers, fasteners, and decorative details with reasonable care.
If the bag becomes wet, gently blot the moisture with a clean, soft cloth and allow it to air-dry naturally in a cool, ventilated place.
Do not use a hair dryer, heater, tumble dryer, or prolonged direct sunlight to speed up drying.
2. PU Material Care
For bags made with PU or faux material:
- Remove surface dust with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
- For light marks, gently wipe the area with a soft cloth slightly dampened with clean water.
- Dry the surface immediately with another clean cloth.
- Test any cleaning method on a small, less visible area first.
- Avoid strong rubbing, scrubbing, or repeated wiping in one area.
Do not use leather conditioner, leather oil, shoe polish, wax, alcohol, bleach, acetone, solvent-based cleaner, or abrasive cleaning tools on PU surfaces.
Do not soak or machine-wash PU bags.
3. Denim Care
For denim bags:
- Remove loose dust with a soft cloth or soft brush.
- For a small mark, use a clean cloth lightly dampened with cold water and gently blot the affected area.
- Where necessary, use only a small amount of mild detergent diluted with water.
- Avoid hard scrubbing, twisting, soaking, or machine washing unless the product care information expressly states otherwise.
- Allow the bag to air-dry naturally and reshape it before it is fully dry.
Dark denim and specially treated denim may release or transfer some color when exposed to moisture or repeated friction.
Avoid prolonged contact with light-colored clothing, upholstery, or other light surfaces, particularly when the bag is wet or damp.
4. Tie-Dye, Washed, Distressed, and Printed Finishes
Some products use tie-dye, washed, faded, distressed, printed, or other special finishing processes.
To protect these finishes:
- Do not soak the product.
- Do not use bleach, stain remover, alcohol, or strong detergent.
- Avoid repeated rubbing or scrubbing on printed or specially treated areas.
- Do not attempt to lighten, recolor, or remove individual pattern areas.
- Clean only the affected area when possible.
- Test any cleaning method on a hidden area before wider use.
These finishes may respond differently to water and cleaning products. Improper cleaning may affect the pattern, shade, texture, or surface effect.
Variations in pattern placement and color depth are explained separately in our Shopping Notice.
5. Hardware, Zippers, and Decorative Details
To care for metal hardware, zippers, studs, buckles, and decorative details:
- Wipe them gently with a clean, dry cloth after use.
- Keep them away from perfume, chemicals, hand sanitizer, salt water, and prolonged moisture.
- Do not pull zippers when the bag is overfilled or when the zipper path is obstructed.
- Align the opening before closing a zipper or fastener.
- Avoid dropping or pressing the bag against hard surfaces.
Changes in the appearance of hardware may gradually occur through contact, friction, moisture, and regular use.
6. Interior Care
Remove unnecessary items and loose debris regularly.
For minor marks inside the bag:
- Empty the bag completely.
- Gently remove loose dust.
- Use a soft cloth lightly dampened with clean water to blot the affected area.
- Keep the bag open and allow the interior to air-dry fully.
Do not pour water or cleaning products directly into the bag.
Avoid storing uncovered cosmetics, pens, liquids, food, or other items that may leak or leave permanent marks.
7. Shape and Weight
Avoid carrying weight beyond what is reasonable for the bag’s size and construction.
Overfilling may place unnecessary pressure on:
- Straps and strap attachments
- Zippers and closures
- Seams and stitching
- Handles
- Bag corners and bottom panels
- Decorative hardware
Soft and semi-soft bags naturally change shape depending on how they are filled, carried, and stored.
When the bag is not in use, remove heavy contents and lightly fill it with clean, soft paper or cloth to help maintain its shape.
Do not use newspaper or printed paper, as ink may transfer to the lining or surface.
8. Storage
Before storing the bag:
- Make sure it is clean and completely dry.
- Remove food, liquids, cosmetics, and other contents.
- Place detachable straps inside the bag or store them flat.
- Lightly support the bag’s shape with clean, soft filling.
- Cover it with a dust bag or clean cotton cloth.
- Store it in a cool, dry, and ventilated place.
Avoid:
- Long-term direct sunlight
- Damp or enclosed storage areas
- Placing heavy items on top of the bag
- Folding or crushing structured parts
- Hanging a filled or heavy bag by its straps for long periods
- Long-term storage in a tightly sealed plastic bag
9. Stains and Difficult Cleaning
Different materials and finishes may react differently to cleaning products.
For deep stains, large wet areas, ink, oil, adhesive, cosmetics, or unknown substances, avoid experimenting with multiple cleaners.
Using an unsuitable product may spread the stain or permanently affect the surface.
Where professional cleaning is necessary, inform the cleaner of the bag’s actual material and special finish. Angelkiss cannot guarantee the results of third-party cleaning or repair services.
10. What to Avoid
Unless the care information for a specific product clearly states otherwise, do not:
- Machine-wash or tumble-dry the bag
- Soak the bag in water
- Use a hair dryer or heater
- Use bleach, alcohol, acetone, or strong solvents
- Apply leather conditioner or leather oil to PU material
- Scrub with a hard brush or abrasive sponge
- Iron the bag
- Attempt unauthorized recoloring, modification, or repair
